I’m taking baby to the doctor today- she has not been feeling well. 😦 She is so prone to ear infections and I am praying that she doesn’t have another one!
UPDATE: Yes, another ear infection and antibiotic. Poor baby.

Yesterday I “watched” the movie Heidi while I was doing housework- why I have no idea. It was the 1937 version with Shirley Temple. First of all, she was ridiculously cute. Second, her clothes throughout the movie are so charming and beautiful. I am now convinced that I am going to make my daughter a dirndl costume for Halloween. 🙂

Every year I get the Blue and White Issue of Victoria magazine, and each time I want to completely redo my home in blue and white. Sigh. It’s sooooo pretty. Actually, to be more accurate I want to live in the magazine.

Last night I painted my nails. This is amazing. In recent months I have gone seriously downhill in the nail department because I wash my hands a bajillion times a day and my hands/nails look terrible. In high school I used to change my nail polish EVERY DAY to match my outfits, unless I had a french mani (which was soooo hot in those days). How priorities change!

Last weekend I made a seriously fantastic tortilla soup. We went out to lunch Saturday afternoon and I had a fantastic soup which I tried to recreate at home later. It turned out awesome. I will post recipe this weekend.

It has been raining here for the last 2 days which is totally crazy. Considering the terrible draught that Texas experienced last year this rain is a Godsend!

Random fact: When I was little (5 or 6) I used to think that my grandfather was the Pope. In his old age he looked remarkably like John Paul II. Pappy was also Polish and their resemblance really was, at least to my five year old brain, striking. I never told anyone but I spent most of the time confused about how Pappy was the head of the Church. lol.
